Meet Dr. Joseph Parker

I’m Joe Parker, DDS, a pediatric dentist who is passionate about helping children develop healthy dental habits that will last a lifetime. For me, the most rewarding part of my job is establishing a dental home for our patient families, where they feel comfortable bringing their children during their childhood.

I love working with children because they are so fun to be around — you never know what they are going to say or do. Their innocence and blunt honesty can be so hilarious.

I find it incredibly rewarding to help children overcome their fear of going to the dentist. If a child is able to overcome the fear of going to the dentist, I feel like I have set them up to have a healthier, happier smile the rest of their life. I take the time to make each child feel comfortable and safe, and my gentle approach ensures that children have a positive experience at the dentist’s office.

One of my specialties is releasing infant tongue and lip ties for mothers who are having trouble nursing. This is one of the most satisfying feelings I have experienced in my practice because I know that I am helping children get the nutrition they need and strengthening the bond between child and mother.

I take great pride in my work and strive to establish a positive and friendly relationship with my patients and their families. My passion for helping children develop healthy dental habits and overcome their fears is unwavering, and I’m honored to be a part of their journey toward a brighter and healthier smile.

Academic Achievement

I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in commerce and biological sciences. After receiving my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Baylor University, I studied at the Children’s Hospital Colorado where I obtained a graduate degree in pediatric dentistry.

I am always learning and growing in the dental field. Continuing education enables me to provide the best care to my patients because I am consistently learning about new research, technology, and techniques that make dental care more comfortable, more efficient, and with the best possible outcomes.

I stay informed through the annual meetings of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Greater Dallas Pediatric Dental Society.

Outside the Office

I live in Heath with my two wonderful boys, Braeden and Logan, our dog Chewie, and our cat Lexi.

When I’m not at work, I love spending my free time with my family. Being a father to two young boys is one of the greatest joys in my life. We enjoy playing sports, watching movies, and exploring new places together. We also love to spend time outdoors, whether it’s running, swimming, camping, golfing, or skiing. I believe that spending time in nature is a great way to recharge and stay healthy, both physically and mentally.

Another important aspect of my life is my faith. Going to church is an essential part of my weekly routine, and it brings me great comfort and guidance. I find that it helps me stay grounded and focused on what’s truly important in life.

I believe that having a balanced life is important for staying healthy and happy. Spending quality time with my family, enjoying the outdoors, and nurturing my faith are all integral parts of who I am and what I value.

A Focus on Community

When I’m not spending time with my family or helping someone make their smile great, I volunteer at my children’s school. I also contribute to Children’s Relief International. I believe children, whether they are here or in other countries, are our most vulnerable population and need our support.

My profession gives me the ability to help a great number of people every day. I get to see my patients grow up into young men and young women who will make an impact on the world. Hopefully I have been a small positive influence in their lives and have helped them along the way!
